I’m Jeremy, not one for introductions, but here are a few facts about me. I am 27 years old, born and raised in a small town in Oregon. I am an Oregon State University Alumni with a B.S. in Exercise Sport Science and Health Promotion, with hopes of becoming a teacher in the future. Those who know me know I have an extreme “itch” for adventure, and love to travel. I always have goals that I am working towards, and I always set high standards for myself.
Why did I choose to write a blog?
I initially created this blog to detail my service with the Peace Corps that begins in April of 2014. My goal is to provide a somewhat informative and detailed account of what life is like for Community Health Volunteers in Guyana. Please keep in mind that experiences within the Peace Corps are very individualized, they vary depending on the open-mindedness and expectations of the individual. With that, I hope that this blog will serve as a good resource for either, those thinking about joining the Peace Corps, or future volunteers who have been recently invited to Guyana.
I have also created this blog as a way to communicate and share picture with friends and family who are curious about my whereabouts and what my life is like while living abroad. Please remember that all opinions and views expressed in this blog do not reflect any government or the Peace Corps, and are that of my own. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to comment on the post you are curious about, or write me a message and I will do my best to respond as soon as I can.
Thank you for your support and taking the time to read my blog!!
